My name is Lynsey Walsh and I am currently an advanced trainee in relational integrative psychotherapy. I have spent many years helping and supporting people in my role as a mental health nurse working in the NHS, but have always been passionate about assisting people to empower themselves to enjoy a more fulfilling future. A Bit About Therapy
So what is Relational, Integrative Psychotherapy?

Our earliest relationships are of prime importance and help us create our internal world, we learn what others think and feel about us and in turn how we feel and think about ourselves. In seeking to maintain the familiar we contain our anxiety in order to feel more secure even though these patterns of relating may not be in our best interests.

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that helps us make sense of our thoughts , feelings and behaviours and develop an understanding of ourselves and how we engage with the world around us.

Relational is the two of us together in a supportive and non judgemental way exploring your issues, what makes you tick and what you may wish to change in order to enhance your life and relationships.

Integrative means that I work to a model that incorporates a number of theorists beliefs. It is a unifying psychotherapy that addresses the person at the affective, behavioural, cognitive, and physiological levels of functioning, and the spiritual dimension of life.
Contact Me
I offer 50 minute sessions charged at £40 currently, either face to face or Zoom. My face to face appointments are in comfortable private rooms in either Ripon or Thirsk and I have some flexibility for appointments including evenings and weekends. I offer an initial assessment appointment at half price where we can take the time to find out about each other and decide if we wish to continue working together.

Insurance, Professional Registration and Confidentiality
I have full liability insurance cover provided by Balens Insurance.
I am a registered member of both the UKCP and SCPTI and abide by their codes of conduct and ethical practice.
I hold an enhanced DBS
I access regular supervision to enhance my practice and and give you the best possible experience
Confidentiality is important to me in that you feel safe and supported in your engagement with me so I work in accordance with data protection and all records in relation to you will be stored in a non identifiable way under lock and key.
